I feed my cat wet (cat food) food in the morning, afternoon and night. He eats it all within a few minutes and constantly is begging for food throught the rest of the day. My dog passed away a few weeks ago and we still ahve about 20lbs of dry small bites kibble. Right now I will give the cat a small handfull of the dog kibble between his regular feedings. Is this ok for him? He seems to like it, even more than the dry cat food I used to give him.
Vinny's 1st birthday, celebrated by Jeff and Kari. Cake made from a can of tuna, frosted with canned cat food and sprinkled with dry cat food. We chose 7/28 since it's Kari's half birthday and Vinny was born approximately late July, early August of 2008. Note - I am messing with video editing software and somehow the film is speeded up, but the audio is not. I dont know how to fix that yet.
Since adopting my 2.5 year old female cat from the local humane society, I have been feeding her Eukanuba adult chicken & rice formula. She likes it well enough, but I've been looking at a few other foods and thinking maybe I should switch/upgrade.
First up, "Chicken Soup..." brand seems pretty popular, and I've heard that Innova Evo is the absolute best there is (with no fillers and 50% protein content). I won't buy Iams or Science Diet, as those are technically WORSE than Eukanuba.
Anyone have any experience with the foods I mentioned?
I an currently feeding them canidae als in canned food and I am just wondering if I should feed them some dry food as well. The dry food will be left out during the day so they can eat whenever they want. Or should I just stick with the wet food?
*Felidae ALS* sorry

Is it true or false that dry cat food can actually lead to kidney problems? If it's true, then why would dry food lead to kidney problems? Why would it be legal if it makes pets sick? I have a senior cat who has been feed dry food all her life & if that is true, is it possible to slowly change her food to wet? She isn't a picky eater. Would that make any difference & would it be a good idea? What is the best possible natural food to feed my cat?

We've got a 2 year old cat and have recently read that she should be getting wet cat food, not just dry. We want to buy a good quality cat food, not just what is expensive or has hollow promises.
What kind should I buy?
Thanks!
I put my cat food in a clear container and what i didn'tt notice until now that the last time i bought cat food i just added the new with the old and my cat started eating it. He started to vomit the food up and for the past day he has been throwing up yellow stuff. i noticed it was the food. so i went out and bought purina one cat food. but he is still throwing up. he is not eating but drinking water. what should i do? i just moved states and have no money for the vet
I have 2 cats. They are both overweight. We feed them Purina Naturals or something like that. We want the best, dry cat food designed specifically for overweight cats. They are adults, 5 and 9 years old. We feed them 1/3 of a cup twice a day, once in the morning, and once at night. We give them snacks throughout the day as well. I think we are feeding them too much. What do you think?
•How much food do they need each day?
•And how many times to they need to be fed that amount?

With the contaminated wheat gluten, rice gluten and now corn gluten, I really need a brand I can get from the store, since I need to be able to pick it up this afternoon on my way home...my cats' dry food at home has corn gluten, and the canned food has rice gluten! My babies are fine, but I want to avoid any problems. I was reading the ingredients for Natural Balance and neither their wet nor dry foods have any of these ingredients. Any thoughts on this brand? Is it good? How has it worked for you?

I told my coworker today that I'm switching my cat to canned cat food and she responded by telling me that she's always heard dry was better. When I asked her from who, she couldn't tell me. Like I've read tons of literature on why canned is better, but I haven't come across any literature stating dry is better. Is there any out there? Why do so many people believe it is better?
My son said that someone told him that it is not ok, to feed a cat only dry cat food every day, but as it is not our cat, I am a bit loathed to buy expensive tinned cat food.
Is dried food ok twice a day, and if not is there a way to make it work without buying smelly tinned cat food, don't want it in my fridge?
I just don't want to end up doing more harm than good.
