Making a species appropriate diet for cats. For more information on feline nutrition visit www.mystre.com
Very good video. I’ve been trying to envision how to make raw food and this shows every step!
This looks very time consuming, but you must be feeding like ten cats right? This must be horrifying for a vegitarian to watch hahahaha!
actually pretty quick and 100% more healthy than any commercial product. Takes us about 2.5hours every 3 months to make enough food to feed 13 adult cats for 3 months. And ends up costing about 1$ a day to feed them all. Be sure to visit our website and look at “feline nutrition” to learn more about why kibble is killing your pets.
Hey Mark. It was great meeting you this past weekend. Thanks for all of your tips for Harley. We are already feeding raw, but you have other ingredients we are not using. can you please specify what you used in this video. some things are identifiable, but there are a few things i can tell what they are. Thanks!
on the webpage there is a link that has the full recipe, as well as link for the grinder.
wont let me include link here its on mystre (dot) com under feline nutrtion on the menu.
Nothin says “I love you” for a cat like stirring raw meat slop with your arms.
LOVE IT!!
Good on you for taking your cats health seriously, as most don’t!
LOL how true is that.. now if only the cat would understand that concept too hahahah

okay i know this is for 13 cats. now for one cat, how many of each ingredient? one of each? i want to to do this for my bengal. i feed her evo cat food and their wet food as well.
and would deer meat be good for them? since we go hunting i was wondering if deer would be good sub for the beef i seen on your website.
We use a ratio on our recipe on the website. its 2/3 chicken, 1/3 beef.. you can use all chicken, or substitute venison for the beef (just want to make sure you have some fatty meats as well as the game meats, as game tends to be too lean)
So just adjust the ratio to how much you want to make. We want to keep organ meats to about 10%, and bone content to about 10%, everything else can be very flexible. All kibble is bad, without exception so switching to raw is the best thing you can do.
how much of this mix do you feed per cat and how many times a day?
imagine a small white mouse worth of ground up meat in a serving spoon. We feed a big heaping serving spoon full to our cats twice a day. Our huge main boy, about 14lbs now, eats this amount.
